Why can’t I use do-it-yourself resume software?
Software and templates alone simply cannot provide you with the personalized attention you need to ensure your resume is tailored specifically to your needs.
If you use software and simply plug in job information, you leave no room for originality to showcase your qualifications and unique value. The end result will be a forgettable, cookie-cutter resume with no personality that will probably end up in the ‘don’t call’ pile. A professionally written resume will help you stand out and get noticed!
Do we need to meet in person?
No, but I prefer it. I do conduct resume interviews by phone, but my preference is to work with local candidates through a face-to-face interview to start, then we can complete the process through email. Sometimes the work can be completed via only email and phone when the candidate is very clear about the direction in which they wish to go career-wise, and able to provide strong information to begin with in the form of an old resume and job postings of current interest. For new resumes where we’re starting from scratch, I conduct a comprehensive information-gathering session to extract critical material and uncover vital accomplishments.
How long does it take to receive a finished resume?
After our initial consultation, I’ll set up a time with you when you can expect to receive your documents, within three to five business days. Rush service may be available, depending on my schedule, for an additional fee of one-third of the price of the resume.
What format do you provide for finished resumes and cover letters?
After your sign-off on changes, you’ll receive electronic versions of your documents in presentation and text formats. I can also provide printed copies, however, it’s better for you to be able to tailor your documents (I’ll tell you how), on your own computer, prior to sending them out to an employer (especially the cover letter).
How much do you charge for your services?

How do you handle payment?
Full payment is required prior to the beginning of work. I accept cash, check or PayPal/credit card payments and can email a PayPal invoice to you that you can pay on line with a credit card.
